The study of the behaviour of our pair of Fossas whilst they have full access to all areas of enclosure is the second in a three part study on Fossa behaviour.
I plan to study their behaviour again when the cold weather means that they are shut in overnight.

It will be very interesting to compare results to all three studies, and to come up with an overall conclusion.

Results

From the information collected during my studies, I have drawn the conclusion that both animals were recorded as not seen for the largest percentage of time (35.4%).
This could be the result of the hot weather conditions, increased activity at night.

Both Fossa had full access to all areas of enclosure at all times (except the male when cleaning inside).

Charts have been included to breakdown the results discussed here, and the numbers in brackets included in the conclusion indicate which chart no. to refer to.

When individuals are referred to, I have printed their names in inverted commas.
